Megan O. Scharf, MD, FAAD
Dr. Megan Scharf grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and settled in Greenville with her family in 2017 after moving around the southeast for medical training. She chose dermatology as a specialty because she loves the opportunity to get to know patients of all ages over time. She joined Carolina Dermatology because of their commitment to comprehensive patient care and quality patient experience. She thoroughly enjoys building relationships with her patients and their families and feels blessed with the privilege of caring for the greater Greenville community.
Dr. Scharf's clinical interests include treating acne, psoriasis and skin cancers, striving for a team approach to clinical decision making whenever possible. She feels that patients must be comfortable not only in the exam room, but also comfortable with whatever plans are formulated in order to achieve the optimal outcome. One of her favorite aspects of dermatology is the experience of seeing patients return feeling and looking better and being so appreciative of the care they received.
When she is not at work, Dr. Scharf enjoys spending time with her husband and their four kids. Whether at the ball field, barn, or basketball court, they keep her busy cheering them on from the sidelines. She is also an avid Peloton-er and claims to be both a beach and mountain person.
