Cosmetic Dermatology

Our board-certified dermatologists are experts in skin health and beauty and provide cosmetic services safely and ethically.

Cosmetic dermatology, also known as aesthetic medicine, is a subspecialty of dermatology that focuses on issues relating to the appearance of the skin, hair, and nails for cosmetic (aesthetic) purposes, rather than for health reasons. Cosmetic dermatology strives to improve aesthetic concerns such as wrinkles, pigmentation, scars, and other visible imperfections.

Our aesthetic dermatology services include BOTOX®, JUVÉDERM®, Restylane® Sculptra®, and Dysport®.

BOTOX®

BOTOX® is a drug made from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Dermatologists use it in small doses for temporary smoothing of facial wrinkles and improving your appearance.

BOTOX® injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves. The effects can last about three to twelve months.

JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers

JUVÉDERM® is a collection of dermal fillers. These fillers are nonsurgical options that contain a modified form of hyaluronic acid (HA). Each filler is designed for different needs in specific areas of the face including lips, cheeks, chin, smile lines, undereyes, or jawline.

Restylane®

Restylane® includes a range of injectable fillers with a specific formulation of non-animal sourced hyaluronic acid. It is most commonly used for lip volume and contouring and to diminish wrinkles and aging lines of the face such as the folds around the nose and mouth. Restylane® may be used for filling aging-related facial hollows under and around the eyes and for cheek volume and contouring of the chin, lips and nose.

Sculptra®

Sculptra® targets fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, and other signs of aging due to collagen loss. Sculptra® is a aesthetic injectable that helps stimulate your natural collagen production to smooth facial wrinkles and improve skin tightness. It is a proprietary formulation of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that is an FDA-approved dermal filler.

Dysport®

For adults 65 years of age and younger, Dysport® is a prescription injection that temporarily improves the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. It works by smoothing wrinkles which are caused by muscle contractions and repeated movements. The injection temporarily prevents muscle contractions that cause frown lines.
